New Construction
Our new construction design process guides you seamlessly from concept to completion, bringing your dream home or vacation property to life. We begin by developing a detailed design concept for both exterior and interior spaces, then collaborate closely with your architect and builder to bring that vision to fruition. Because great design lies in the details, we work hand-in-hand with you to create a home that is a unique reflection of your personal style, infused with Ivy Row Design’s signature aesthetic.
Remodel and Renovation
Renovations and remodels can feel overwhelming, but our team is here to guide you every step of the way. From start to finish, we work closely with you to transform your existing home into a beautiful, highly functional space tailored to your family’s needs. We begin by developing a thoughtful design concept for each area requiring an update, then collaborate with your contractor to bring the vision to life. Once construction is complete, we install your furnishings and thoughtfully style the space—so all that’s left for you to do is enjoy it.
Furnishing
Whether you are moving into a new home or upgrading your existing furnishings, we design your space to feel modern yet classic, comfortable and inviting. We start by developing a full design concept that includes everything we will need to transform your space- furnishings, textiles, artwork, window treatments and accessories. We then manage every detail of the product ordering process, installation, and styling so that you don't have to worry about a thing!
OUR PROCESS
INITIAL CONTACT
Consultation
Once you’ve completed our Inquiry Form, we’ll reach out to schedule a 15-minute Discovery Call to learn more about your project and discuss next steps. From there, we’ll arrange an in-person meeting to walk through your space, explore the scope of work in more detail, and talk through your goals, preferences, and functional needs.
Based on these conversations, we’ll prepare a detailed proposal outlining our design services and associated fees. Upon approval of the proposal and receipt of the deposit, we’ll provide a contract for your review and confirm your project start date.
PHASE ONE
Design Concept Development
This is where the creative process truly comes to life. We develop a comprehensive design vision for your home, thoughtfully considering colour palettes, materials, and overall aesthetic. Our team carefully reviews and red-lines architectural plans, and prepares detailed space plans, furniture layouts, and custom millwork designs to ensure both beauty and functionality.
The Design Concept addresses every detail—from lighting and flooring selections to hardware and window treatments—resulting in a cohesive, well-considered design that feels intentional and refined.
Once the Design Concept is complete, we’ll schedule a meeting to walk you through the designs in detail and answer any questions along the way. Afterward, we’ll incorporate any final refinements to ensure the design reflects your vision and feels exactly right for your home.
PHASE TWO
Material Selections and Technical Drawings
Once you've signed off on the Design Concept, we get busy sourcing materials, finishes and fixtures to bring the design to life. Alongside sourcing, we are also preparing a detailed design drawing package, which includes cabinetry renderings and specification lists, which we then hand off to your builder or contractor to implement.
PHASE THREE
Design Implementation and Construction
During construction, we are available to your build team to answer any questions or trouble shoot any issues that might arise. We make regular visits onsite to check on progress and to collaborate with the team to ensure that the design plan is being implemented as planned.
PHASE FOUR
Furnishing Selections and Ordering
With construction underway, we turn our attention to furnishing your space! We pull together the details and pricing of every item we suggest - from bed frames and dining tables to pillows and artwork. Once you've reviewed and signed off on your proposals, we get to work placing orders, tracking and organizing storage and arranging delivery for each and every item.
PHASE FIVE
Furniture Installation and Styling
We've reached the finish line! Once construction is complete, we coordinate the delivery and installation of all of your new furnishings. We arrange the furniture, roll out the rugs, hang the pictures and place the pillows. As the finishing touch, we style your entire space - turning it from a house into your home!
