Throughout the design process we collaborate with you and your build team on every aspect of your project - from floor plan development, custom cabinetry and choosing finishes and fixtures, to full furnishing and turn-key styling. New Construction

Our design process for new construction takes you from concept to construction to the completion of your dream home or vacation property. We start by developing a detailed design concept for the exterior and interior spaces and then work collaboratively with your architect and builder to see that vision through. Great design is all in the details, so we work closely with you to ensure that the end result is a unique blend of your personal style and Ivy Row Design's signature aesthetic.

Remodel and Renovation

Renovations and remodels can be stressful! We work with you from start to finish to transform your existing home into a beautiful space that functions for your family. We develop a detailed design concept for the spaces that need an update and then work with your contractor to implement the vision. When the construction is complete, we install your new furnishings and style your space so all that is left to do is enjoy!

Furnishing

Whether you are moving into a new home or upgrading your existing furnishings, we decorate your space to feel modern yet classic, comfortable and inviting. We start by developing a full design concept that includes everything we will need to transform your space- furnishings, textiles, artwork, window treatments and accessories. We then manage every detail of the product ordering process, installation, and styling so that you don't have to worry about a thing!

OUR PROCESS

PHASE ONE

Consultation

Once you've filled out our Inquiry Form, we will get in touch to schedule a 15 minute Discovery Call at which time we will discuss the details of your project. From there, we will set up an in person meeting to dive deeper into the scope of your project, walk through your space and discuss your wants and needs. Based on this information, we prepare a detailed proposal outlining the scope of our design services and fees. Once you've signed on and paid a deposit, we prepare our contract for your review and set a start date!

PHASE TWO

Design Concept Development

Now the fun part starts! We pull together our detailed vision for your home, including our concepts for colour scheme, materials and overall style. We review and red-line architectural plans and create layouts, furniture placement plans and custom millwork designs. Our Design Concept also includes everything from our recommended lighting and flooring choices to hardware and window treatments.

PHASE THREE

Presentation and Review

Once the Design Concept is complete, we schedule a meeting to go through our designs in detail and answer any questions you might have. Following this meeting, we make any necessary tweaks to ensure that the end result is exactly what you've been dreaming of!

PHASE FOUR

Selections and Planning

Once you've signed off on the Design Concept, we get busy sourcing materials, finishes and fixtures to bring the design to life. We prepare detailed design drawings, cabinetry renderings and specification lists, which we then hand off to your builder or contractor to implement.

PHASE FIVE

Design Implementation and Construction

During construction, we are available to your build team to answer any questions or to trouble shoot any issues that might arise. We make regular visits onsite to check on progress and to collaborate with the team to ensure that the design plan is being implemented as planned.

PHASE SIX

Furnishing Selections and Ordering

With construction underway, we turn our attention to furnishing your space! We pull together the details and pricing of every item we suggest - from bed frames and dining tables to pillows and artwork. Once you've reviewed and signed off on your proposal, we get to work placing orders, tracking and organizing storage and arranging delivery for each and every item.

PHASE SEVEN

Furniture Installation and Styling

We've reached the finish line! Once construction is complete, we coordinate the delivery and installation of all of your new furnishings. We arrange the furniture, roll out the rugs, hang the pictures and place the pillows. As the finishing touch, we style your entire space - turning it from a house into your home!
